SCRF (Self-Consistent Reaction Field) is a method of accounting for the effect of a polarizable solvent on the quantum system. The solvent is modeled as a dielectric continuum. This method by Bashford, Noodleman and coworkers requires the MEAD electrostatics C++ program by Bashford. For technical linking reasons, it is not included in the ADF distribution on all platforms.
