Mr. Mori, an ADF expert at our Japanese reseller Ryoka Systems Inc., recently wrote an ADF overview article that appeared in CICSJ (Chemical Information and Computer Sciences The Chemical Society of Japan) Bulletin Vol. 26, 130 (2008). For a brief period, the electronic version can still be downloaded free of charge. This article pays particular attention to the advantage of Slater type orbitals in ADF.
Paper reprints of both this article and an earlier article in Japanese on ADF [PETROTECH Vol. 30, 529 (2007)] - written by Dr. van Gisbergen at SCM and Mr. Chiba at Ryoka) are available from Ryoka. Both contain some practical applications with ADF in addition to giving a broad summary of the functionality and specific features and techniques, aimed at a wide audience.
