ADF workshop with SARA, November 8, 2010

On November 8, SCM and SARA (the Dutch national High Performance Computing and e-Science support center) will organize a one-day ADF workshop for both beginners and expert users wishing to learn about the new ADF2010 release. The workshop will be free of charge to participants. Registration is now closed.

Please note that the training room is not equipped with computers so we would like to ask you to each bring your own laptop (with a CD or DVD drive).

Attendees are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation. Directions to SARA are below.
Location: Eulerzaal (Z009), Science Park 123, 1098 XG Amsterdam.
Phone: +31 20 592 9333

Travel information for those planning to arrive by train can be found at the Nederlandse Spoorwegen website. Guests from outside Amsterdam will likely first arrive at Amsterdam Central Station. From here local "Sprinter" trains depart for Amsterdam Science Park Station once every 30 minutes from track 13b (direction Almere Oostvaarders). Station Amsterdam Science Park is about a 7 minute walk from the workshop site. Science-Park-Station

For those arriving locally, taking bus number 40 from Amstel Station to Science Park may be an option. For information on these local busses, as well as local trams and metros, see the GVB website. The busses stop nearly right outside the SARA building in Science Park.

Those traveling by car should take the ring road Amsterdam (A10), exit at S113. Turn right at Kruislaan. After the tunnel the road changes into Science Park. SARA is located on your left; the entrance however is not open for cars; please take the next gate on your left to park your car. You can get an Exit card at the registration desk.
