I have been checking this on our R10000 (IRIX 6.5), without any problems.
But we had some problems in the past, because of the version of the compiler.
Which version do you use (f90 -version) of the MIPS compiler ?
And, also important, which optimization flags ? We had problems with
the -O3 option of the MIPSpro 7.3 compiler. When we changed that to
-O2, the problem was solved.
