I cannot help you with the IBM RISC 560, but ADF on a recent Pentium PC under
Linux (850 MHz) is somewhat faster than on a SGI O2 from 1998. The factor is
less than two. Otherwise I can say that both ADF1999 and ADF2000 are easily
installed as executables and run without any problems on Pentium PC (I use SuSE
Linux 6.0 and 7.0 on two PC, but RedHat Linux should work, too).
