Dear all,

I am aware that there have been some queries about CIO_ERROR before, unfortunately I haven't heard
yet how to avoid them, which is why I am bothering you taday again.

Last week we have build a new linux box (specifications are given below) running Mandrake (XFree86
4.0.3) and installed ADF2000.02. I have tried to run a couple of test jobs and every single one
failed so far with a CIO_error. The errors seem to occur randomly, either after ENGRAD or in the
middle of ERRMAT. I have tried to restart from the TAPE21 file and received once again a
CIO_error. The new machine (2* 1GHz processors) is therefore essentially useless at the moment.

I would be really grateful if somebody could let me know what is going on.

The specifications are:
RAM = 256
Processors = 2Xq GHz PIII (Coppermine), 256 Kb Cache
Mandrake OS
ADF2000.02 installed

May I just mention, that we build this new machine to substitute another one, which also gave
CIO_error very frequently and we thought that the motherboard was faulty.
