and four Ph. D. students (see

(1) Postdoctoral fellow (2 years) and graduate student (4 years):
     Theoretical modelling of oxidation catalysis

     Electronic structure (ADF) and Molecular Dynamics (ab initio MD)
     studies of catalysis by metal ions in aqueous solution will be
     performed.

     * Requirements postdoc:
       Ph. D. in (theoretical) chemistry or physics, experience with
       (Car-Parrinello) MD
     * Requirements grad. student: Master in chemistry or physics,
       in a theoretical direction or with a strong theoretical
       component

(2) Graduate student (4 years): Relativistic quantum chemistry

     This project concerns application of relativistic quantum
     chemical methods on actinide chemistry.

(3) Graduate student (4 years): Fragment-oriented Design of
     Catalysts

     This project is in the field of computational catalysis and
     chemistry with the objective to develop and apply a new method
     for rationally designing selective catalysts, the so-called
     Fragment-oriented Design of Catalysts (FDC).

     * Requirements:
       Master in chemistry, preferably in a theoretical direction,
       or with a strong theoretical component

     This project deals with development of TDDFT response theory
