I am trying to install the new version the program (just pre-compiled
executables) on an athlon/linux machine. After doing the basic
Install/configure, the program hangs even on adf -h. The other programs
(band, dirac, dmpkf etc.) all give help info on command : PROG -h
The only errors I find are:
in Install/configure script:
test for existence of makefiles for chosen architecture
reports too many arguments because of Makeflags* returns multiple args
but this may just be commented out and should have no other effect
in the ed command where it sets the default spawnscript location:
it prints out
6622
?
from this section but I don't know if there were any faults and besides
tis should just edit the makefile and I just want to run the pre-built
executable
The next error was:
when running adf -h program spits out:
application-specific initialization failed: Can't find a usable init.tcl
in the following directories:
/usr/ADF2/bin/TclTk/lib/tcl8.3 /home3/visser/local/lib/tcl8.3
/usr/ADF2/bin/TclTk/lib/tcl8.3 /home3/visser/local/lib/tcl8.3
but this is because the .../tcl8.3 is a link to something in the Install
directory, if I then set permissions to allow me to access the whole
Install tree, the program simply hangs when run as adf -h
It seems likely to me that the problem is still with the tcl/tk stuff as
it's so new. Also running the /usr/ADF2/bin/TclTk/lib/tcl8.3/init.tcl
as a shell script gives errors but I think that that is because this is no
a shell script but a tcl script but i don't know
The program also just hangs upon adf -h when compiled on an RS/6000
Anyway any help would be appreciated.
