    One  Post-doctoral position is available for fundamental studies of
heterogeneous Ziegler-Natta catalysts
    The successful candidates will be involved with
     - Theoretical  studies of heterogeneous Ziegler-Natta catalysts.  
The studies
will give the applicant a chance to learn the newest computational  
tools and
develop work experience  with industrial based computational chemistry.  
All the
work will be publishable after  a delay period
of up to six months. Excellent computational facilities are available  
including
the COBALT ( http://www.cobalt.chem.ucalgary.ca/group/cobalt.html ) and  
RHODIUM
(90 Athlon dual processors) clusters .For more information about the

    - Requirements: PhD in theoretical chemistry or computational  
physics.
Demonstrated experience in computational chemistry and studies of  
chemical
reactions. Experinece with  the development and implementation of  
electronic
structure codes an advantage. Good communication skills in conjunction  
with a
strong command of the English language is required. Some travel to the  
site of
the industrial
sponsor will be required.
    -  Particulars:  The position is for one year with the possible  
extension for
another. The salary is $ 38 ,000 (CDN) The position will be available  
from
November 1, 2003 or
