Dear Dr. Bandeira,

SCM will make a serious attempt to provide properly tested executables
for both
adfnbo.exe and gennbo.exe for all supported platforms with the next ADF
release. We are in the very early testing phase, so we cannot say if we
will be
successful or not.

(GEN)NBO belongs to the Univ. of Wisconsin, with Prof. Weinhold as primary
author. According to our agreement with the Univ. of Wisconsin, we have
to charge
a nominal fee to those ADF users who also wish to use a gennbo.exe provided
by SCM. If you already have an NBO 5.0 license this is not relevant.
Otherwise the charge for GENNBO will be low (probably something between
30 and 60 Euros or US$ for a permanent NBO 5.0 license) and will include
shipping a hard copy manual of NBO to you.

However, as a first step we will have to convince ourselves that we can
indeed deliver
correctly functioning adfnbo.exe and gennbo.exe files for all supported
platforms ...

In addition I should perhaps state that GENNBO does not offer all the
functionality
that NBO has to offer. For example, energy decomposition will not be
possible
with adfnbo and gennbo. These programs will be useful mainly for
population analysis, etc.

Best regards,
Stan van Gisbergen
