Postdoctoral Fellowships Available 2004

Three Postdoctoral fellowships in Material Sciences and Technology, Physical Organic Chemistry, and Density Functional Theory are available at the Millennium Nucleus for Applied Quantum Mechanics and Computational Chemistry, starting May 1, 2004.Specific projects include structural, optical and magnetic properties of inorganic, organic and organometallic nanomaterials, chemical reactivity of organic and biological systems, development, implementation and applications of new models and concepts within non-relativistic and relativistic density functional theory.A strong background in theoretical physical chemistry and/or chemical physics and computational skills is required, although talented applicants with different backgrounds will also be considered. The position will be for one year with the expectation of renewal for a second year upon mutual agreement.
