A postdoctoral research position is available in the group of Dr. Stuart
Macgregor to work on a BBSRC-funded project involving the use of quantum
chemical calculations to investigate the mechanism of NO production by
nitric oxide synthases.

Candidates must hold, or be about to be awarded, a PhD in computational
chemistry and should have experience in the use of density functional
methods and electronic structure analysis, especially as applied to the
study of reaction mechanisms. Experience in the use of post Hartree-Fock
methods and a background in bioinorganic chemistry would be advantageous.

Salary will be in the range £19,460 to £21,640 per annum, depending on
experience. The post is available from 1 November 2004 for up to 3 years.
