Dear current ADF users,

SCM does not have access to an Opteron cluster at the moment.
If your group does have access to an Opteron cluster with at least 4
CPU's
(either with or without a valid ADF license for this cluster), and if
you are
willing to do a few short test calculations on 1, 2, 4, and preferably
also
8 CPU's if available, please contact my colleague Dr. Alexei Yakovlev
(yakovlev_at_scm.com) for details.

This will allow us to investigate if there are any bottlenecks
concerning the
parallel performance of our new executables for Nocona and Opteron,
which show impressive speeds on a single CPU.
As a result, we may be able to provide a further optimized executable
and/or give advice about the optimal environment settings for such a
cluster.

The news item about the new fast 64-bit executable for Nocona and
Opteron is accessible from our homepage:
http://www.scm.com/News/NoconaOpteron.html

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Stan van Gisbergen
