A postdoctoral position in computational chemistry is immediately available
at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) in Tarragona,
Spain (www.iciq.es). The position is available for one year, with a possible
extension for another year.

Research at ICIQ is centered on the areas of Catalysis and Supramolecular
Chemistry, with special focus on sustainable aspects of chemistry and on
molecular nanotechnology. A combined theoretical/experimental approach is
being followed, with dynamic collaborations between groups for
multidisciplinary approaches. We are looking for a computational chemist
with a strong background in transition metal chemistry and with experience
in classical and/or hybrid simulation methods. Programming skills are not
essential but may be considered as an advantage.

Located in the town of Tarragona, 100 km south from Barcelona, nearby one of
the most important chemical/petrochemical complexes in Southern Europe, the
new Institute is based on a 7000 square meter building in the scientific
campus of the University Rovira i Virgili (www.urv.es). The Institute
includes modern and functional laboratories and is equipped with
state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation and computational resources.
