Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellowship to work
with Dr H Cox on the chemical and physical properties of multiply charged
metal-molecule complexes in the gas phase. These positions are supported by
EPSRC and are associated with a major five-year programme of experimental
and theoretical research that builds on recent successes in this area.
The project will involve the development and application of current and new
TDDFT methodologies for calculating UV and visible spectra. The successful
applicant will have an opportunity to spend time in Amsterdam and Calgary
collaborating with ADF developers. Applicants for this position should
possess a doctorate in chemistry, physics or maths and experience of DFT
and/or ab initio methods would be advantageous.
Informal enquiries can be made to Dr H Cox h.cox_at_sussex.ac.uk. Details of
the posts can be found via the University website http://www.sussex.ac.uk
