About SCM and ADF development groupsHistory of SCM and ADFADF has been developed in Amsterdam since the early seventies of the previous century, with significant contributions from academic collaborators elsewhere. Scientific Computing & Modelling NV (SCM) is a company split off from the Baerends group in Amsterdam since 1995. The two other main ADF development centers are the Ziegler group in Calgary and the theoretical chemistry group in Groningen. The number of ADF users and the functionality in ADF have been growing steadily over the last years. For more information on ADF, ask us for the free ADF brochure. Mission of SCMSCM's primary mission is assistance in the continuous development of ADF and support of the ADF user community. To this end, it keeps close connections with the scientists who are implementing new developments in ADF. SCM also monitors the needs of current ADF users to decide where it should direct its future efforts. These efforts include improvements in user-friendliness, stability, efficiency, as well as functionality. People at SCMThe scientists employed by SCM all have a PhD in theoretical chemistry, have many years experience in ADF development, and are therefore well capable of providing expert support to the ADF users, of assistance to external ADF developers, and of implementing the improvements desired by the ADF users.
