On October 2nd, 4pm AEST, Fedor will present an overview of the ADF modeling suite, 2014 release, in collaboration with the NCI National Facility at ANU. A hands-on workshop will be organized afterwards at ANU.
In the 2014 release of the ADF modeling suite, the periodic code DFT BAND is much faster, as are the semi-empirical codes MOPAC and DFTB. ADF has a better-scaling SCF algorithm. New functionality includes NEGF-DFTB, TD-DFTB, ReaxFF force field optimizer, MBD functionals, and conformer searches.
Fedor will visit Norway, Sweden and Finland to introduce the 2014 release of the ADF modeling suite to the Nordic countries. Chemists and materials scientists are cordially invited to the public seminars in Trondheim, Helsinki and Uppsala to learn about new features and capabilities as well as to discuss EU collaboration possibilities.
In August, SCM will be at the ACS meeting in San Francisco and giving seminars at the University of Minnesota, Oak Ridge National Lab, Michigan State University (with workshop) and Rutgers University Newark. Seize these opportunities to learn about the upcoming 2014 release of the ADF modeling suite.
SCM will be at the E-MRS Spring Meeting Exhibition in Lille in the last week of May, with Fedor giving an exhibitors workshop on Tue 26 May (9.30-10.30 am). Sergio will represent SCM at the ICMEg meeting in Rolduc (near Aachen) in the last week of June, where he will present the ADF modeling suite as a molecular modeling tool in the context of ICME.
SCM will be present at two conferences in the last week of June / first weekof July: Sergio will be in Paris (RCTF2014), and will later join Fedor in London at the ICTAC 15 conference.
