Dr. E. van Lenthe joins SCM team
SCM is pleased to announce that Dr. Erik van Lenthe will join the SCM team in April 2002. Dr. van Lenthe has many years of experience in ADF, both as a developer and as a user. He has implemented the ZORA relativistic method in ADF. Some of his other expertise areas include: molecular property calculations, and basis set development.
Dr. van Lenthe did his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Baerends and Prof. Snijders in Amsterdam. He was a postdoc in the group of Prof. van der Avoird in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and later returned as a postdoc in Prof. Baerends group in Amsterdam to further develop the ADF code.
Dr. van Lenthe will be involved in a variety of projects mostly related to further development of ADF. We trust that this expansion of our team will enable us to improve ADF faster in the future.
