We are pleased to announce an upcoming hands-on workshop on using the Amsterdam Modeling Suite (AMS) via the SURF Research Cloud. This workshop will introduce researchers to running advanced computational chemistry and materials simulations in a scalable cloud environment.

During the session, participants will learn how to set up and execute atomistic simulations with AMS, with examples drawn from real-world research and industrial applications. The workshop will cover topics such as battery materials, semiconductors, and chemical reactivity, making use of modern tools including machine learning potentials (foundation models), ReaxFF, and AMS scripting with PLAMS.

For whom?

This workshop is aimed at researchers and students with a background in computational chemistry or computational materials science who are interested in using AMS on the SURF Research Cloud. The workshop will be taught in English.
