Amsterdam Modeling Suite Pricing Tables

The Amsterdam Modeling Suite license fees depend on the type of modules (points, see table below), the number of host-locked CPU cores (floating cores count double), and the license duration. Different license types apply to government labs and commercial licensees.

Module points

ADF BAND DFTB ReaxFF COSMO-RS
& properties
AMS driver
& GUI only
 2 1 1 1 2* 1**
* 1 point in combination with ADF, i.e. ADF + COSMO-RS = 3 points
** The AMS driver and GUI are included with any other choice of module at no extra points

The full Amsterdam Modeling Suite (AMS) includes all these modules, MOPAC (for academics), the GUI and the AMS driver. This whole suite option (4+ points) has become the most popular choice because of its excellent value for money (4th column in pricing tables below). Intermediate core options (16, 32, 128 & 256) are also available.

Examples academic licenses

  • In the US your group wants to run BAND and DFTB on a 6-core and a 4-core machine. 2 points, 16 cores = 2400 USD. You can add another 6-core machine.
  • In Europe your group wants to run ADF and COSMO-RS on large Linux cluster, with maximum 32 cores/job. 3 points, 64 cores (32 floating) = 3600 Euros.
  • In the US your University wants a site-wide license for ADF, DFTB, & ReaxFF on unlimited cores. 4 points, ∞ cores = 18900 USD. You are entitled to the full AMS suite, and you can license all machines also for BAND, MOPAC & COSMO-RS. This includes clusters, desktops, and student laptops for computational chemistry courses.

Regional Discounts

In certain countries we apply a 30% discount.

Source Code

Our binaries are well-optimized and we don’t recommend the end user to compile from sources. The source code is available at an additional fee – request a price quote. If you plan to do development in our software, please contact us to discuss collaboration options.

NBO

NBO6 (through GENNBO) is available at one time fee of 30 Euros (academic group) or 150 Euros (site license).

Computational Chemistry Teaching Courses

We offer attractive prices for teaching-only licenses. With our automatic license server, it’s very easy to deploy the Amsterdam Modeling Suite -also on many student laptops.
